Please Note: Our rules and regulations around cost shared flying are subject to change due to UK government guidelines.
Following the latest government advice, The Ginger Private Pilot is now permitted to operate!
In order to maintain the public health and safety of our passengers and pilots, The Ginger Private Pilot has put precautions in place to slow and stop the spread of COVID-19, whilst allowing you to fly with us again! Scroll down to see what this means for you.

What does this mean for you?
- You are now able to book flights – Please bear in mind that not all the pilots are ready to fly right away. All booking dates and times are provisional until your pilot has confirmed this with you. The aviation community is adapting to the new normal, please be patient.
- Face masks are now essential while travelling. Please note that you may be refused entry on-board if you do not adhere to government guidelines regarding face coverings. Please bring your own as they will not be provided for you.
- Some pilots may request that you also wear gloves. This can be discussed with your pilot during the booking process.
- High contact touch points on the aircraft will be sanitised before and after each flight.
- The number of available flights may be reduced. Each of our pilots operate privately and, whilst some are eager to get back in the air, others are staying more vigilant. A number of pilots are back on board but we are running at a reduced rate.
- Pilots may change flight times or dates, cancel bookings or refuse bookings at their own discretion. This could be due to weather changes, safety concerns or other personal reasons or emergencies. If flights are cancelled, you will be refunded within 3-5 working days.
“I have booked a flight, what’s changed?”
You will not be permitted to fly if:
- You have been diagnosed with COVID-19 at any point in the preceding 14 days of your flight booking.
- You show any symptoms of COVID-19 at any time in the preceding 14 days of your flight booking.
- You have come into contact with someone who has tested positive in the preceding 14 days of your flight booking.
